Massimiliano has over 20 years’ experience at major financial institutions and consultancies. Before founding XTAL, he was a Managing Director at AIG Investments, most recently as Global Head of Multi-Alternatives Strategies and, prior to that, as Regional Head of business development for Southern Europe. Earlier, he was a Vice President and Head of the institutional Portfolio Management team at Deutsche Asset Management in Italy. He also served as a Member of the GIPS Alternative Strategies Working Group at the CFA Institute and is the author of the first guide of the Italian CFA Society on Alternative Investments. Aureliano is an experienced benchmark professional, Financial Economist at Bank of Italy, former Global and European Head of Research at STOXX and Lipper and Head of Product Development & Research at LIMEYARD, with quantitative background, entrepreneurial experience and deep understanding of indices, products, processes and technology associated with the management of benchmark administrators.
